Please follow the safety requirements below before trying any of the challenges:
  1. Parent or guardian supervision is required
  2. Only complete challenges that you are comfortable with.
  3. Make sure you have a safe, open space around you so you don’t trip over anything
  4. Make sure you use the equipment outlined in each challenge safely and check that the equipment works properly before you use it
  5. Only use equipment that you are comfortable with.
  6. Remember, there are equipment modifications for each challenge!
  7. Follow the instructions in each video to ensure you are safely completing the challenges before attempting them on your own
  8. Ensure you are wearing proper footwear, stay hydrated, and most importantly have fun!

What Are We Doing?: How many times can you run back and forth in 60 seconds? 

Where Should We Do It?: Long Hallway, Driveway, Backyard 

What Do We Need?: Stopwatch or a timer app on your phone, measuring tape, two pylon-like items (jugs, Tupperware, chairs) 

How Should We Set Up?: Place your two “pylons” 10 meters apart (33 ft., about the length of a school bus!) 

 

How Do We Do It?  

1) Starting position: beside one of your “pylons” facing the other pylon 

2) Set your timer/stopwatch at 60 seconds 

3) Start the timer! 

4) Run and touch the other pylon, turn and run back to the other pylon 

5) See how many times you can touch a pylon before the timer runs out 

6) If you are half-way when the timer runs out, count from your last pylon touched 

 Scoring: Count up how many times you touched a marker in 60 seconds

What Are We Doing? How far can you jump? 

Where Should We Do It? Driveway, Backyard 

What Do We Need? Masking tape, measuring tape, chalk or coin 

How Should We Set Up? Put down a line of tape marking a starting line 

 

How Do We Do It?  

1) Line up with your toes behind the piece of tape 

2) Squat down and swing your arms back 

3) As you swing your arms forward, jump as far as you can 

4) As you land, have someone mark (with chalk/coin) where the back of your heels are 

5) Measure from the tape line to where your heels landed 

Scoring: Measure from the start line to where your heels landed in centimeters (62.5 centimeters) 

 


Unified Relay

What Are We Doing?: Team up with a partner to run 100 meters! Either at home or virtually. 

Where Should We Do It?: Driveway, Backyard 

What Do We Need?: Stopwatch or timer app on your phone, measuring tape 

How Should We Set Up?: Measure out 50 meters (164 feet) 

 

How Do We Do It?  

1) Find a partner, either at home or a friend/family member online 

2) Measure 50 metres or 70 regular steps, and mark your start line and finish line 

3) Have your timer stand at the finish line  

4From the start line, run to the finish line as fast as you can! 

5) Mark down your time as you cross the finish line 

6) Have your partner do the same thing at their home 

 Scoring: Add the two times together in seconds and milliseconds (eg. 7.71 seconds + 10.42 seconds = 18.13 team score)
